New Breeders Incentive Announced For Stallion River Keen (Ire)

Multiple Grade I winner and millionaire River Keen (Ire), who will stand his second season in Massachusetts in
2009 at Pine Nook Farm in South Deerfield, will offer breeders a new monetary incentive in 2009, it was
announced today by Renee Doyle of Prime Equine, who will be acting as stallion manager for the sixteen-year-old
son of Keen.

Those who choose to send their mares to River Keen (Ire) in 2009, foal those mares in the state of
Massachusetts in 2010, and subsequently register those foals as Massachusetts-breds, will become eligible for
a $5,000 bonus, payable to the breeder of River Keen’s (Ire) first winner of a Massachusetts-bred restricted
stakes race.

“With the recent election of Mr. Robert DeLeo as Massachusetts Speaker of the House, the optimism that our
state’s legislature may pass an expanded gambling bill is greater than ever,” said Renee Doyle. “We have seen a
renewed interest in the Massachusetts breeding program in the short time since Mr. DeLeo’s appointment. By
offering this bonus, we are not only insuring additional mares to River Keen’s (Ire) book for 2009. We are also
raising awareness of the significant rewards opportunities that the Massachusetts breeders program has to
offer. It is our hope that these factors will culminate in attracting a larger population of mares to the state,
bringing in additional revenue to the facilities that serve the thoroughbred racing industry in Massachusetts.”

A talented young racehorse in Europe, River Keen (Ire) surged to fame in the United States at the age of five by
winning the Grade 2 Californian Stakes at Hollywood Park. He enjoyed his best racing season at the age of
seven, winning the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes and Grade 1 Woodward Stakes, both at Belmont Park,
as well as the Grade 2 Bel Air Handicap at Hollywood Park. He retired sound at the age of eight with over $1.6
million in earnings.

River Keen (Ire) surpassed the one million dollar mark in progeny earnings in 2008. He stands as the property of
a syndicate for a fee of $2,000, live foal guaranteed.
